Hadith on Sunnah: There is no harm in narrating from the Children of Israel for the purpose of reinforcing established Islamic teachings

Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Convey from me even a single verse, and narrate from the Children of Israel for there is no harm in it; but whoever deliberately lies about me, then let him take his seat in the Hellfire.”

Book of Knowledge, Chapter: What is related about narrating from the Children of Israel

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ  قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا حَرَجَ وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
