Hadith on Fiqh: The Prophet did not blame Muslims for having different interpretations of his statements

Abdullah رضى الله عنه reported: On the day he returned from the Battle of Ahzab, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم made for us an announcement, “Nobody will pray his Zuhr (afternoon) prayer except in the vicinity of Banu Qurayza.” Some people, being afraid that the time for prayer would expire, said their prayers before reaching Banu Qurayza. Others said, “We will not say our prayer except where the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم has ordered us to pray, even if the time expires.” The Messenger of Allah did not blame anyone from the two groups.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, related from his Lord the Blessed and Exalted, “Indeed, Allah has recorded good and bad deeds and He made them clear. Whoever intends to perform a good deed but does not do it, then Allah will record it as a complete good deed, but if he intends to do it and does so, then Allah the Exalted will record it as ten good deeds up to seven hundred times as much or even more; if he intends to do a bad deed and does not do it, then Allah will record for him one complete good deed, but if he does it then Allah will record for him a single bad deed.”
