Hadith on Praise: Glorify and exalt Allah and ask for His forgiveness ten times

Salma Umm Rafi’ reported: She said, “O Messenger of Allah, teach me some words but do not make it too much for me.” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Say Allah is the greatest ten times. Allah the Exalted will say: This is for me. Say glory be to Allah ten times. Allah the Exalted will say: This is for me. Say: O Allah forgive me. Allah will say: I have done so. If you say it ten times, Allah will say each time: I have done so.”

عَنْ سَلْمَى أُمِّ بَنِي أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِكَلِمَاتٍ وَلا تُكْثِرْ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ قُولِي اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ عَشَرَ مِرَارٍ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ هَذَا لِي وَقُولِي سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَشْرَ مِرَارٍ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ هَذَا لِي وَقُولِي اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي يَقُولُ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ فَتَقُولِينَ عَشْرَ مِرَارٍ وَيَقُولُ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ

Hadith on Knowledge: O Allah, teach me what will benefit me and benefit me from what I learn

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O Allah, benefit me with what you have taught me and teach me what will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge. All praise is due to Allah in every circumstance and I seek refuge in Allah from the circumstances of the people of the Hellfire.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي وَزِدْنِي عِلْمًا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ وَأَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ حَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ

Hadith on Praise: The reward for praising Allah during prayer is forgiveness of minor sins

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “When the prayer leader says, ‘Allah listens to those who praise him,’ you should say, ‘O Allah, our Lord for You is the praise.’ If anyone says this when the angels say it, then his previous (minor) sins will be forgiven.”

All thanks and praise is due to Allah, whom we seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from whatever evil our hearts conceal and from the consequences of our evil deeds. Whoever Allah grants guidance will never be led astray. Whoever He leads astray will never find guidance. I attest that none is worthy of worship except Allah, who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].

[Surah Ali Imran 3:102]

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.

[Surah An-Nisa 4:1]

O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.

[Surah Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]

Indeed, the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst affairs are newly invented matters. Every newly invented matter is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.

إن الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره، ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا، من يهده الله فلا مضل له، ومن يضلل فلا هادي له، وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله.

يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ

يَاأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا

يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلا سَدِيدًا يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا

فإن أصدق الحديث كتاب الله، وأحسن الهدي هدي محمد – صلى الله عليه وسلم -، وشر الأمور محدثاتها، وكل محدثةٍ بدعةٍ، وكل بدعةٍ ضلالةٍ، وكل ضلالةٍ في النار،
