Hadith on Omens: Whoever changes his mind due to an omen has committed an act of idolatry

Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever turns back from something due to seeing an omen, then he has committed idolatry.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is the expiation for that?” The Prophet said, “That he says: O Allah, there is no good but your good, no omen but your omen, and there is no God besides you.”

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ رَدَّتْهُ الطِّيَرَةُ مِنْ حَاجَةٍ فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا كَفَّارَةُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَحَدُهُمْ اللَّهُمَّ لَا خَيْرَ إِلَّا خَيْرُكَ وَلَا طَيْرَ إِلَّا طَيْرُكَ وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

Hadith on Religion: Whoever is given the religion is beloved to Allah

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has divided your character between you just as He has divided your provision between you. Verily, Allah the Exalted gives the world to those He loves and to those He does not love, but He only gives the religion to those He loves. Whoever is given the religion, then Allah has loved him. By the one in whose hand is my soul, a servant will not submit until he submits his heart and his tongue. None of you has faith until his neighbor is safe from his evil.” They said, “What is its evil, O Prophet of Allah?” The Prophet said, “His tyranny and oppression. A servant cannot earn wealth from what is forbidden and spend it and receive blessings in it. He cannot give in charity from it and have it be accepted. He cannot leave it behind his back except that it increases him in the Hellfire. Verily, Allah the Exalted does not expiate an evil deed with an evil deed. Rather, He expiates an evil deed with a good deed. Verily, a wicked deed cannot expiate a wicked deed.”

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَسَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ أَخْلَاقَكُمْ كَمَا قَسَمَ بَيْنَكُمْ أَرْزَاقَكُمْ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُعْطِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ يُحِبُّ وَمَنْ لَا يُحِبُّ وَلَا يُعْطِي الدِّينَ إِلَّا لِمَنْ أَحَبَّ فَمَنْ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ الدِّينَ فَقَدْ أَحَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا يُسْلِمُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى يَسْلَمَ قَلْبُهُ وَلِسَانُهُ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ حَتَّى يَأْمَنَ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ قَالُوا وَمَا بَوَائِقُهُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَالَ غَشْمُهُ وَظُلْمُهُ وَلَا يَكْسِبُ عَبْدٌ مَالًا مِنْ حَرَامٍ فَيُنْفِقَ مِنْهُ فَيُبَارَكَ لَهُ فِيهِ وَلَا يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهِ فَيُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَلَا يَتْرُكُ خَلْفَ ظَهْرِهِ إِلَّا كَانَ زَادَهُ إِلَى النَّارِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَمْحُو السَّيِّئَ بِالسَّيِّئِ وَلَكِنْ يَمْحُو السَّيِّئَ بِالْحَسَنِ إِنَّ الْخَبِيثَ لَا يَمْحُو الْخَبِيث

Ibn Taymiyyah on Abortion: Killing a fetus is prohibited according to the consensus of the Muslims

Ibn Taymiyyah said, “Aborting a fetus is unlawful according to the consensus of the Muslims, as it is like the infant who is buried alive. Allah said: When the infant buried alive is questioned for what sin was she killed? (81:8) and Allah said: Do not kill your children for fear of poverty.” (17:31)

Al-Bara reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said about the Ansar, “None loves them but a believer and none hates them but a hypocrite. Whoever loves them, then Allah will love him, and whoever hates them, then Allah will hate him.”

Hadith on Ablution: Every sin a Muslim commits will be washed away with the last drop of water

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When a Muslim or a believer washes his face in ablution, then every sin which he committed with his eyes will be washed away with the last drop of water; when he washes his hands, then every sin which he committed with his hands will be washed away with the last drop of water; and when he washes his feet, then every sin which he committed with his feet will be washed away with the last drop of water until he emerges purified from sin.”

Hadith on Sunnah: The Prophet delivered all the commands and prohibitions of Allah

Al-Mutalib ibn Hantib reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “I have not left anything which Allah has commanded you except that I have commanded you, and I have not left anything which Allah has forbidden for you except that I have forbidden it for you.”

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Faith is from Yemen; and unbelief is from the east; and tranquility is found among those who care for sheep; and pride and showing off is found among the rude owners of horses and camels.”

Iyad ibn Himar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah has revealed to me that you should be humble, such that none of you transgresses or boasts against another.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about a man who reviles me in a lowly assembly and I respond to him; am I incurring sin?” He said, “Two people who revile each other are two devils who accuse and deny each other.”
